SlopBlocker is a Chrome extension that helps users label and block “slop” content on supported sites (such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok). We respect your privacy and minimize data collection.

Information We Collect

On-device data only. SlopBlocker may store the following information locally in your browser:

• Video titles, channels, and URLs that you label
• Your training data and presets
• Extension settings (mode, hide toggle, pause timer)

This data is stored locally using Chrome’s storage APIs and never leaves your device.

How We Use Information

• To provide labeling, blocking, and personalized filtering
• To preserve your settings and training data across sessions

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. We do not use analytics or tracking tools.

Network Requests

SlopBlocker may make a request to YouTube’s oEmbed endpoint only when you use the “Backfill Titles” feature to retrieve missing video titles.

We do not operate any servers, and no user data is sent to us.

Data Retention and Control

All data remains on your device. You can delete your data at any time by:

• Using the “Reset All” option within the extension, or
• Removing the extension from Chrome

Security

Data is stored locally and is not transmitted to external servers, except for the optional YouTube oEmbed lookup described above.

Children’s Privacy

SlopBlocker does not target children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the extension evolves. The latest version will always be available on the Chrome Web Store listing.
